Exciting progress is underway at Campbell & Hart as we continue delivering a vibrant, sustainable residential community with environmental restoration playing a key role in shaping the future of the site.

As part of our Vegetation Management Plan, we are actively restoring and enhancing a dedicated ecological area along the riparian corridor. This important initiative focuses on regenerating Cumberland Shale Hills Woodland, a critically endangered native ecological community unique to Western Sydney.

Baseline monitoring undertaken by independent ecologists has confirmed strong foundations for the restoration program, with native species already present across the site and six habitat nest boxes installed to support local birdlife and fauna. These nest boxes are an important early milestone, helping create safe habitat opportunities while broader regeneration works continue.

Recent on-ground activities have focused on the targeted removal of invasive weed species, including woody weeds and aggressive groundcover species that compete with native plants. These works, undertaken by qualified bush regeneration specialists – Toolijooa Pty Ltd, are essential to reducing weed spread and allowing native vegetation to recover and expand naturally. Their approach includes low-impact methods such as careful spot spraying and manual removal to protect surrounding native flora and sensitive ecological areas.

Over the coming months, restoration efforts will accelerate through targeted weed removal, new native planting, protective fencing and ongoing ecological management. More than 4,000 additional native groundcovers, hundreds of shrubs and over 200 trees are planned to further strengthen biodiversity and create a thriving green corridor for future generations.

This long-term program has been designed to transform the area into a healthy, structured native landscape over five years, improving habitat, protecting waterways and enhancing the natural character of the neighbourhood.
